Woodlands, TX – City Wide has started cleaning the windows of the Howards Hugh buildings in Woodlands. A team of 30 professional cleaners will undertake the cleaning work.

Howard Hughes acquired the two Class AAA office towers and the warehouse space in 2009. Soaring 32 stories above the earth, the Woodlands Towers sits at the entrance of the Waterway Square District. This architectural marvel boasts 600,000 square feet of premier class office space. It’s within walking distance of the best entertainment, dining, and shopping spots in Woodlands. The stories are adjacent to Interstate 45 and provide easy access to Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston.

Lorrie Parise, the PR and Community Relations Director stated, “City Wide is the type of cleaning service that takes on such challenging cleaning works without flinching. They have the tools, expertise, and experience to tackle even the largest and most complex buildings. We’re banking on their 30+ years of high-rise window washing experience and their stellar safety record.”

“Starting from the outside, the cleaning crew will wash the exterior of the windows, then turn their focus to the inside; specifically, the panels, sills, and ledges. The cleaning job will take approximately a month, and it’s a challenge the crew seems to relish,” she added.

City Wide is expected to deploy all its high-rise window cleaning tools and equipment, including bosun chairs. While cleaning, the crew will adhere to OSHA regulations. Four supervisors will oversee the work during the cleaning phase and take stock of each day’s cleaning. Different teams will work in various sections of the buildings.

In deciding to work with City Wide, the leasing managers at Howard Hughes wanted to maintain their record of cleanliness. They understand that appearance matters, and only a team that’s done a similar job in the past can deliver the results they want.

Water poles will be used to deliver purified water for a sparkling shine. This water is often used to clear calcium, iron, and sulfate in health facilities as well as microprocessor labs around the country.

The Director of City Wide Commercial Cleaning commented, “We’re extremely proud of our crew of cleaners and technicians that has made us successful over the last three decades. The past year has been a period of tremendous growth, despite the COVID-19 pandemic. And we couldn’t do it without the commitment and passion of our customer-focused crew, who’re always determined to provide exceptional washing services to our esteemed clients.”

High-rise window cleaning comes with its own risks, something that City Wide understands. Their cleaners are well trained for this type of work and use safety belts. While cleaning the exterior, they also avoid taking unnecessary risks. The company has a $10 million general liability insurance that covers the team and the building’s occupants.

City Wide was founded in 1968 by Mary Anne and Linda Amodeo. Both partners have worked in the industry for many years and have a wealth of commercial cleaning experience.
